A little about me
Hi, I’m Angela — Certified Sleep Consultant based in Sydney, Australia.
I know first-hand how utterly exhausting sleep deprivation can be. It touches everything; your relationships, your mental health, your body, and your sense of self.
Good sleep isn’t a luxury, it’s essential for your well-being and for your growing baby.
A Little About Me and How I Got Here
I had my daughter in 2020, and I’ll never forget the paediatrician commenting on how alert and active she was in the hospital. I remember thinking, “What does that mean?” Looking back now, it’s clear, she was never one of those “potato” babies who happily snoozed the day away. I’d take her for long walks, sometimes two hours or more, hoping she’d fall asleep in the pram. But she wouldn’t.
“AREN’T BABIES MEANT TO SLEEP IN PRAMS?” I’d cry to my husband and mum. She hated the bassinet, wanted to be upright, and always had to see what was going on. From the very beginning, she was determined, strong, and curious. My little sticky-beak. It’s safe to say, we were in for a long journey with her sleep.
When I Say I Understand, I Really Do
Have you found yourself awake at 2am, desperately Googling “why won’t my baby sleep?” That was me. I cried to my husband. I cried to my mum. I felt like a shell of my former self. There was so much conflicting advice out there, and as someone living with postpartum anxiety, it all felt too much. Too confusing. Too overwhelming. I was stuck in a cycle of nursing her every time she woke because it worked. It was the only thing that got her back to sleep. And honestly, at that point, survival was all that mattered. And no, she never took a bottle. Every waking, every feed, was on me. The pressure was immense. My husband was incredible, but the nights were mine.
The Turning Point
At around six months, I hit breaking point. One night, after another tearful meltdown, my husband said, “We’re hiring a sleep consultant tomorrow.” And we did. It was the best decision we ever made. Over two weeks, we worked with a consultant who supported us every step of the way. Our daughter dropped her third nap, we found an age-appropriate routine, and for the first time, we saw real progress. We were finally sleeping again and we were so relieved. Our goal wasn’t to eliminate all night feeds; I wanted to keep one, and that was completely okay.
Because what matters most are your goals — not anyone else’s.
My Approach to Baby Sleep Support
Every baby is different. Every family is different. There is no one-size-fits-all solution.
Maybe your goal is to:
✨ Help your baby fall asleep independently
✨ Create a predictable nap routine
✨ Reduce night wakings
✨ Keep a night feed while encouraging longer stretches of sleep
Whatever your goals are, that’s where we start. I’ll never pressure you to do something that doesn’t feel right. I’ll never tell you to drop a feed or let your baby cry alone if that’s not your choice.
You know your baby best — my role is to guide, support, and empower you with tools that feel aligned with your values and your baby’s temperament.
From One Mum to Another
I know what it’s like to feel anxious, exhausted, and unsure what to do next. I struggled with PPA and couldn’t handle hearing my baby cry. I avoided sleep training for so long because I was scared — scared of the crying, scared of judgment, scared of failing her. But once we found a gentle, supportive approach that felt right for us, everything changed. If you’re struggling with postpartum anxiety or depression, please know, you are not alone. I’ve been there. I see you. And I’m here to help you through it, with compassion, patience, and understanding. I became a Sleep Consultant to help others just like me, that is my motivation and passion.
