About Angela
Hi, I’m Angela — Certified Sleep Consultant based in Sydney, Australia. I know first-hand how utterly exhausting sleep deprivation can be. It touches everything; your relationships, your mental health, your body, and your sense of self.
Good sleep isn’t a luxury; it’s essential for your well-being and for your growing baby. My goal as a sleep consultant is to help you find calm, confidence, and rest again — without judgment or pressure.
My career has been based in Marketing, within a product and service industry. Before this, I gained a Bachelor’s Degree, majoring in social sciences where I learned about human behaviour within society. I now use my passion for communication to speak to parents to guide them to reach their goals.
A Little About Me and How I Got Here
I had my daughter in 2020, and I’ll never forget the paediatrician commenting on how alert and active she was in the hospital. I remember thinking, “What does that mean?” Looking back now, it’s clear, she was never one of those “potato” babies who happily snoozed the day away.
I’d take her for long walks, sometimes two hours or more, hoping she’d fall asleep in the pram. But she wouldn’t. Not once. “AREN’T BABIES MEANT TO SLEEP IN PRAMS?” I’d cry to my husband and mum.
She hated the bassinet, wanted to be upright, and always had to see what was going on. From the very beginning, she was determined, strong, and curious — my little sticky-beak. It’s safe to say, we were in for a long journey with her sleep.
The Turning Point
At around six months, I hit breaking point. One night, after another tearful meltdown, my husband said, “We’re hiring a sleep consultant tomorrow.” And we did. It was the best decision we ever made.
Over two weeks, we worked with a consultant who supported us every step of the way. Our daughter dropped her third nap, we found an age-appropriate routine, and for the first time, we saw real progress. We were finally sleeping again and we were so relieved.
Our goal wasn’t to eliminate all night feeds; I wanted to keep one, and that was completely okay. Because what matters most are your goals — not anyone else’s.
I then made the decision that I wanted to help other Mum’s just like me, so I enrolled in a training course to become certified as a sleep consultant to pursue my passion of helping others.
